It was my dream from being a ten-year-old boy to one day become a film Cameraman and this started a passion for photography that has brought me to where I am today.

I studied Television Programme Operations at Ravensbourne Art College in London. The college is widely regarded as one of the finest in the country to study the creative arts. After graduation I started work with ITV in Cardiff as a trainee camera assistant then onto Plymouth for two years before joining the Reuters team in Bristol. At twenty-four years of age I was covering major news events and swiftly joined the Reuters team at their main HQ in Gray’s Inn Road in London. Between 1995 and 2000, I covered major news stories in Iraq, Kosovo and the Middle East, which inspired my calling to documentary filmmaking.

In 2000, I became a freelance Lighting Cameraman and started to work on the diverse range of programming, one of my favourite shows was ITV’s “Wish You Were Here” I was lucky to travel to 20 countries whilst filming this series. My travel have now continued working on the fabulous series “New Lives in the Wild” I’ve been one of the main DP’s on this series since the start, now entering production into it’s forth series.

When I am not behind the camera, I am a devoted husband to Dawn and dad to Alice and Thomas who enjoy listening to my other passion, the piano. I play to a high standard, writing my own pieces. I also enjoy cycling and swimming which keep me in good shape for my jaunts around the world.
